Jim Miller can get behind what Anthony Smith is saying.

Jim Miller vs. Brock Lesnar?

In another hot take of his, former UFC title challenger Smith reckoned lightweight Miller could somehow submit former UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar in a ’50-50′ fight. Smith also added that Miller would ‘definitely’ beat Lesnar, if they were to collide on the street rather than in the Octagon.

‘Lionheart’ did receive backlash for this bold claim, with fans not forgetting that Lesnar stopped the likes of Shane Carwin, Frank Mir and Randy Couture in his heavyweight heyday.

Admitting the fantasy fight would be ‘scary as sh*t’, Miller still think there’s a chance he beats Lesnar.

“Years ago, Ronda [Rousey] said she thinks she could beat Cain [Velasquez], and that’s a difficult fight, right? But, the mentality has to be there,” Miller said at UFC Vegas 84 media day.

“When you start walking to the octagon, it is it is the loneliest place on the planet. I firmly believe in training. You’re an up-and-comer training like the guy that you’re fighting is better than you and and they’re doing more than you and they’re doing doing it better than you are. But, the moment that it’s fight day and you have to be the most confident person on the planet.”

“It’d be scary as sh*t,” Miller added. “But, I’m gonna walk to that octagon, hopefully knowing that my bank account’s gonna get a big bump. Like, hey, we’re gonna take this.”

‘I Could Kimura Brock Lesnar’

Miller explains why he has so much confidence going up against a wrecking machine like Lesnar and how he’d beat him.

“I’ve trained with plenty of heavyweights through the years. I mean, my team now is a little bit smaller than me, but I don’t like to bring up because training is training. I’m not a fan of keeping score, but I’ve trained with plenty of heavyweight world champ grapplers and stuff like that and I’ve subbed them out.

“I know that if I can isolate something, I could kimura Brock Lesnar,” Miller continued. “I know that I could because I can lift enough, I could deadlift over 500lbs. I can straighten the guy’s arm. He can’t single arm curl 500lbs. So, it’s about isolating and and stuff like that. It’s gonna suck, I don’t wanna be underneath him.

“I appreciate the push [from Anthony Smith]. We’ll take it. 50-50.”

Jim Miller returns this weekend in a lightweight battle against Gabriel Benitez.
