Michael Chandler doesn’t think Conor McGregor is telling the truth.

As McGregor got closer to a return after breaking his leg, the UFC booked him to coach TUF 31 opposite Chandler and the plan was for the two to fight at a later date. However, with the season nearly over, the bout has yet to be booked, in large part due to McGregor not being in the USADA testing pool.

However, as of late, Conor McGregor has started to take aim at Justin Gaethje and now he took to social media to reveal the UFC isn’t interested in the fight with Michael Chandler.

“I’ll do it if they want, no prob. I don’t think they want him no more tho. There’s loads of juicy fights around and my return date is my return date. I never gave a fuck about who it was. Ever. I’ll fight anyone. I’ll even fly them to me, ask malinaggi. Flown in and bet around,” Conor McGregor said in a now-deleted tweet.

Although Conor McGregor deleted the tweet, Michael Chandler was able to see it, thanks to screenshots, and blasted the Irishman for his comments. As well, ‘Iron’ tells McGregor to tell the truth about their potential fight not happening.

“This dude… I remember when words held an immense amount of weight. Just tell the truth,” Chandler tweeted.

Chandler follows up with a tweet, confidently predicting a second-round knockout win over McGregor.

If the fight between Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler doesn’t happen, it’s uncertain who or if the Irishman will even fight again. Some fighters have come out and said they don’t think McGregor will fight again but Chandler has been vocal in trusting McGregor’s words that the two would fight.

Now, however, it appears the fight will not happen and what happens next for Michael Chandler is uncertain. He could continue to hold out in hopes the UFC does make the McGregor fight happen, but the Irishman claims the Las Vegas-based promotion isn’t interested in the matchup.
