Conor McGregor and Jake Paul had a rare interaction on social media.

Following Katie Taylor’s razor-thin split decision win over Amanda Serrano last night in what was one of the greatest women’s boxing matches of all time, McGregor was quick to congratulate his fellow Irish compatriot.

“Katie Taylor The Greatest! ❤️🇮🇪 Absolutely incredible boxing! Take a bow ladies! What a contest! @KatieTaylor @Serranosisters @TheGarden”

Following the conclusion of the fight, Eddie Hearn and Paul — who promote Taylor and Serrano respectively — were in the ring giving their post-fight reactions.

And McGregor, who usually never responds to Paul whenever the latter calls him out, decided to fire a shot at the YouTuber-turned-boxer.

“Who the f*ck is this jackass in the pink Jimmy saville glasses ?”

Jake Paul Responds To Conor McGregor

Naturally, it didn’t take long for Paul to respond as he decided to bring up what he’s done for fighters ever since he started bashing the UFC and Dana White over fighter pay.

“Im the one who has done more for fighters than you ever have. The one who has won 5 fights in the past 2 years while you have lost 5. The one who isn’t owned by Dana White. The one who made the fight you just watched happen. The 1 who got your hero Katie Taylor paid. That’s who.”

McGregor would simply respond with a picture of Jimmy Saville.

Will all this lead to a boxing match between the pair in the future like Paul wants? Right now, it’s still highly unlikely.

But for Paul, getting McGregor’s attention in the first place is a good first step.
