Conor McGregor remains confident he’d beat Floyd Mayweather in a boxing match.

The pair of combat sport stars first crossed paths in 2017, where Mayweather would get a standing TKO of the debuting McGregor in round 10. Since the fight and the millions of dollars they made from it, they have gone their different ways but their rivalry seems to be far from over.

McGregor’s Latest Comments

Back in September, McGregor wasn’t too interested in another fight with Mayweather. However, ‘The Notorious’ would name-drop Mayweather when responding to boxing star, Claressa Shields. McGregor claims he’d ‘end’ Floyd if they were to fight again.

“You’ve way more venom then Floyd. I beat Floyd if we rematch,” McGregor wrote to Shields. “Untold truth it was me who carried him the early rounds playing pitty patty. Every single shot I threw early landed. From body to head I was playing ping pong.

“I come out full force, and today, I end floyd.”

McGregor hasn’t fought since breaking his leg against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. The road of recovery has been a long one for the Iris fighter, but he will look to return in a big way, whether that be in the boxing ring or (more likely) the Octagon.

Mayweather has been doing a run of exhibitions as of late and is now scheduled to fight YouTuber ‘Deji’ in November.

Will we ever see May-Mac part II?
