One of the biggest fights in KSW history is going down before the end of the year.
KSW 77
Poland’s Mariusz Pudzianowski is set to fight Mamed Khalidov in the main event of KSW 77 on Dec. 17, the promotion announced on Wednesday. The super-fight will take place at Gliwice Arena in Gliwice, Poland and will be a pay-per-view event.
The Lead-Up
Pudzianowsk is a former title holder of the ‘World’s Strongest Man’. At 45 years old, the strongman champion is still going strong in his MMA career, having won his last 5 fights by knockout. He last put on a monstrous KO highlight against Michal Materla at KSW 70 back in May.
The Polish fighter will look to produce yet another highlight for the reel when he takes on seasoned veteran Khalidov.
Khalidov has seen better days inside the cage. He once held the KSW Middleweight and Light Heavyweight titles but now at 42 years old, Khalidov has definitely declined. But don’t get it twisted, Khalidov is still a force to be reckoned with.
The former champion is 1-4 in his last five outings, with his last fight resulting in a KO loss to Roberto Soldic in 2021. Khalidov will look to rebound, when he meets Pudzianowski in Poland.
