Logan Paul is accusing Nate Diaz of ducking a fight with him.

Logan Paul could be the next Paul brother to face a former UFC fighter in the ring. While many people were waiting on the announcement of Jake Paul’s next opponent, it seems that Logan had a big matchup in the works. Both Paul brothers have grown a successful following by thrusting themselves into the world of boxing. The “celebrity boxing” fad originally began with Logan and has been perfected by Jake.

In the past few years, Jake has fought several former UFC fighters such as Tyron Woodley, Ben Askren, and most recently Anderson Silva. Many thought that Nate Diaz would be the next name on that list, but now it seems he was interested in the older brother.

Nate Diaz was the next opponent on the table for Logan Paul before backing out

Logan Paul has been spending more time working with the WWE and less time in the boxing ring. He was recently interviewed by Ariel Helwani for BT Sport where he spilled that he has been in talks with Diaz. Things were progressing but now Paul feels as if Diaz is fleeing.

“I think he’s running,” he said. “I think he’s ducking. We have the sweetest deal for him and he knows the type of numbers I bring in. I’m not a quarter-of-a-million pay-per-view type of fighter, you’re going to get 750,000 to a million buys, and I’m an 0-1 YouTuber. Seems like an easy fight on paper. It’s Nate Diaz. I thought I had something locked in, but apparently, he said the fight was off. Like, why? So he could fight someone else? For what purpose? To get less buys, and maybe an easier fight? I don’t get it.”

When Diaz first left the UFC he was looking for better-paying opportunities. He was calling out Jake and he was doing the same. After Paul’s loss to Tommy Fury, Diaz’s sights switched to Logan.

“As far as I know, it’s not dead because we had to f–king offer him more money. It’s like we’re baiting this guy into fighting me,” he said. “It’s hard for me to get a fight because either you’re not worth my time and energy, or you’re not going to sell pay-per-views. I’ll do it, but I need a dance partner and I don’t need a tune-up fight, give me the real dogs. Nate Diaz is a dog. I was looking forward to that fight, then I got a call the other day and they said they didn’t want to do it. It was almost done. I don’t know.”

Diaz has yet to make an in-cage or in-ring appearance since leaving the UFC. He is in high demand at this time and it seems that a bout with either Paul would be the best option. They are both well known now in the boxing world and can sell a great number of PPV buys with Diaz on the other side.
