Kevin Lee Moved Up To Welterweight To Face Rafael dos Anjos
Outspoken contender Kevin Lee and former UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos to clash in a welterweight bout at UFC on ESPN+ 9 main event which is set to go down May 18 according to The Democrat and Chronicle.
“The Mo-Town Phenom” Kevin Lee will be making his debut at welterweight after spending the entirety of his UFC career at lightweight division. Lee has won six of his last eight bouts, and most recently he suffered a unanimous-decision loss to Al Iaquinta back in December.
Meanwhile, dos Anjos won the UFC lightweight title back in 2015 after beating Anthony Pettis. After the title win, RDA successfully defended the strap by scoring a win against Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone. Currently, he’s 4-3 in his past seven fights.
Dos Anjos, made his welterweight debut in 2017, will look to come back in the winning column from two consecutive losses.
Rest of the rest of UFC Rochester fight line up is as below but it’s still progressing:
