Khamzat Chimaev is talking a big game when it comes to potentially facing Kamaru Usman and Israel Adesanya down the line.
Of course, Chimaev first has to take care of business at UFC 273. The undefeated UFC superstar battles Gilbert Burns this weekend. However, that wouldn’t stop the #11 ranked contender from belittling the reigning welterweight and middleweight champions of the world.
Chimaev On Usman
Chimaev would first speak down on ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’.
“Usman [is] almost handicap brother,” Chimaev said on The DC Check-In. “His knees doesn’t work. His back hurts. His arm hurts. The operation, wherever. He’s too old, he’s too slow. They want to make money, the way they talk. Find a way and make money and go away from my way…
“Usman’s too old, he’s done. Who he beat last time? He beat the same guy[s] four times. Colby he beat twice and other guy [Jorge Masvidal]. Who he beat? Like Tyron Woodley, he’s out of the UFC. After him, ten guys beat him. Then, YouTube blogger beat that guy. Who he beat? I don’t know. He didn’t fight somebody like me.”
Moving On To Adesanya
Chimaev wouldn’t stop at talking about Usman. No, he was just getting started.
‘Borz’ thinks he is on another level compared to ‘The Last Stylebender’ Israel Adesanya. While Chimaev thinks that to be the case, he doesn’t think the champ is scared to fight him.
“Israel, I think he will fight me,” Chimaev said of Adesanya. “I don’t think the guy is scared. That guy’s going to fight with me. But, he’s not my level, that guy.
If he gives his back to guy who has never did wrestling in UFC, never took somebody down, somebody choke out. He always strike. He gives the back to this guy…Whittaker took his back. If I take his back, it’s done for him.”
