Who is Kevin Lee? Well, he’s a fighter. A man with a chip on his shoulder, and most importantly – someone who really wants to beat up Sage Northcutt. Apparently, Lee has been a UFC fighter for a few years and is 4-1 with 3 decisions and a submission win. Nothing on his resume is very exciting, and we feel like we would know who he was if he turned in an impressive sub-1 minute win in his debut, or did a neat front flip. But he didn’t so we don’t.
Luckily for us, Kevin Lee called out sage Northcutt, so now we finally know who he is.
“I think a lot of other fighters feel that,” Lee said, speaking about Northcutt getting undeserved attention. “They won’t say sh-t, but I will. We can settle it right now. I hope he’s listening in so he can hear me – he can hear what I’m saying about him. I’m going to call (UFC matchmaker) Joe (Silva) as soon as I get off the phone with you guys. We can do it at 194.
“(UFC) 194, here in Vegas, biggest fight card of the year. He’ll live the shortest career that the UFC has known.”
“I just know he’s a rich, privileged white boy, and as soon as he gets in there and gets hit and sees some adversity thrown into his face, I think he’s going to crumble. I think I’m a better striker than him. I damn sure know I’m a better wrestler than him, so I think I can beat him everywhere.”
What’s odd is Lee thinking a 2-fight career in the UFC is the “shortest career the UFC has known” considering the plethora of one and done fighters in the UFC. Now he’s reinforcing his previous comments, and going at Northcutt hard. Lucky for us we know who he is now:
