It feels like we’ve been hearing about the Kayla Harrison vs. Cris Cyborg super fight for several years at this point. The PFL has said they have reached out to Cyborg, but Cyborg says she hasn’t heard anything. So it’s a game of cat and mouse that never seems to end.
Harrison returns to action this weekend in the semi-finals of the 2022 PFL playoffs. She is a heavy favorite, and everyone expects her to win, and because of that, all the attention is being pointed toward that Cyborg fight.
Cyborg hasn’t been offered a fight
Last week on The MMA Hour, when asked about a potential fight with Harrison, Cyborg revealed the PFL hasn’t reached out yet. She also said if the PFL does want to put on the super fight, call Bellator’s Scott Coker.
There are always two sides to a story, and the PFL’s biggest star feels like the organization has reached out.
Kayla Harrison is ready
In a recent interview with MMA on SiriusXM, Harrison says the PFL is ready to step up, and so is she.
“I mean I’m not the PFL,” Harrison laughed. “I don’t know, Cyborg has me blocked. I don’t know exactly what she’s saying, but you know, the PFL wants this fight. Like why would they lie about that? They want to grow as a company, they want to put on big fights that the fans want to see. They are ready and willing to step up so and so am I.”

We know one thing for sure, PFL founder Don Davis publicly offered a multi-million dollar fight to Cyborg. So now, it’s just a waiting game.
