Kamaru Usman Revealed Signed Bout Agreement For The Fight Against Tyron Woodley
The Welterweight division is one of the most stacked in the UFC. The title shot between Colby Covington and Tyron Woodley was in works few times but it never came to fruition because of injuries on both sides. But there is one new dangerous name in the UFC Welterweight division – Kamaru Usman. He earned a dominant victory over Rafael dos Anjos at the main event of TUF 28 via unanimous decision, improving his UFC score to 9-0.
UFC 233 was expected to end up being headlined by a Welterweight title match, but it was canceled! Kamaru Usman published a proof he was offered the fight versus the UFC Welterweight champion Tyron Woodley.
Hope the hand is ready champ @TWooodley the @ufc bout agreement has been signed and I’ll see you soon 👊🏾👊🏾🇳🇬 #AndNew #NigerianNightmare #GoTime @AliAbdelaziz00 @danawhite @seanshelby @Mickmaynard2 pic.twitter.com/3cP1V1whQr

Woodley’s teammate Ben Askren recently challenged Kamaru Usman. “The Nigerian Nightmare” fired back, claiming he’d “flatline that curly headed f*ck boy”.
Usman also claimed the whole mess in the Welterweight division happened because of Tyron Woodley. (h/t BJPenn.com)
“The real problem is Tyron,” Usman said. “I’m tired of being nice, you know? Like listen, everything aside, I have mutual respect for Tyron, man. I think he’s a phenomenal guy, he’s been a great champion. But he creates a lot of these problems. And I understand a part of his argument saying that ‘Hey, you know, I’ve been fighting very, very frequently. I want a little bit more time in between,’ I understand that. Then come out and say that. Don’t come out and say you’re fine and you’re ready to go and not defend your belt when they ask you to fight. That’s the problem here.”
Tyron Woodley last fought versus Darren Till, whom he defeated via second-round TKO at the main event of UFC 228 to defend the title. Let’s remember, Woodley sent “The Gorilla” to the ground via weaving overhand right and finished the fight via D’Arce choke. Yet, he underwent a surgery to fix the dislocated thumb and three torn ligaments later.
What do you think, who’ll fight Tyron Woodley next and when? Will Kamaru Usman get a chance for a title shot?
