The UFC Lightweight Spectacle Between Justin Gaethje And Anthony Pettis Might Happen Very Soon!

 

Anthony Pettis (21-8 MMA, 8-7 UFC) had one of the best matches in his whole career versus Tony Ferguson at the co-main event of UFC 229 on October 8, 2018. There were so many tremendous strikes on both sides. Both fighters were bleeding. Unfortunately, “Showtime” was unable to continue due to a broken hand at the end of the second round. Yet, there is a chance he could fight again soon!

Brett Okamoto from ESPN tweeted that UFC is looking to schedule the match between Justin Gaethje and Anthony Pettis. The fight is targeted for the beginning of 2019.

Per multiple sources, UFC looking to book Justin Gaethje vs. Anthony Pettis. It’s not done and there’s no date just yet, but that’s the matchup currently in the works. Would be early next year.

Justin Gaethje (19-2 MMA, 2-2 UFC) is a former WSOF champion. He is known for brutal leg kicks, excellent wrestling, and quick punches.

In his first UFC fight, Justin Gaethje defeated Michael Johnson via TKO at The Ultimate Fighter 25 Finale on July 7, 2017. Then he lost to Eddie Alvarez via TKO at UFC 218 on December 2, 2017. At UFC On Fox 29, on April 14, 2018, Dustin Poirier stopped him via fourth-round TKO. “The Highlight” finally rebounded back with a victory over James Vick at the main event of UFC Fight Night 135 on August 25, 2018.

Anthony Pettis is a former UFC Lightweight champion. He won many big names of this sport – Donald Cerrone, Benson Henderson, Gilbert Melendez, and Jim Miller.
