Former UFC Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo’s Next Fight Is Official For Early 2019
Jose Aldo, who recovered from consecutive losses to featherweight champion Max Holloway after knocking out Jeremy Stephens in the first round back in July, is scheduled to meet Renato Moicano on February 2 at UFC Fight Night 144.
A win over Stephens was the Brazilian’s first victory since he defeated Frankie Edgar at UFC 200 in July 2016.
UFC officials confirmed the news on Friday evening that featherweight contest between Aldo and Moicano is all set and it’ll take place Centro de Formação Olímpica do Nordeste in Fortaleza, Brazil, and air on ESPN+.

Meanwhile, Moicano (13-1-1), is 5-1 since joining the UFC in 2014, hold wins over the likes of Cub Swanson, Calvin Kattar and Stephens. His only loss came against featherweight contender Brian Ortega last year.
The event’s main headliner features a bantamweight fight between Marlon Moraes (21-5-1) and Raphael Assuncao (27-5).
