Jose Aldo Vs. Jeremy Stephens In Works For UFC Event In Canada

Former UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo who suffered back to back losses to young champion Max “Blessed” Holloway will look to bounce back from the worst when he takes on Jeremy Stephens later this year in Canada.

Last Month, Jose Aldo expressed his interest to fight “Lil Heathen” in Brazil, however, Stephens indicated on social media he wanted the fight at UFC 225 in Chicago, now it seems like both fighters are on board for this fight. As per recent reports from Combate, a fight between Jose Aldo and Jeremy Stephens will be expected to co-headline a UFC event in Canada on July 28th. UFC yet has to announce the news officially.

It’s a fresh matchup for both fighters, as Jeremy Stephens who had pretty inconsistent past few years, now came in a winning column at featherweight, taking out Gilbert Melendez and prospects Doo Ho Choi and Josh Emmett.

Jose Aldo has gone 1-3 in his last four fights. He came up short against UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway twice last year, and his last win was at UFC 200 back in July 2016 against Frankie Edgar.

Both fighters have Verbal agreements for this fight, but the contracts are yet to be signed.
