Don’t be scared homie. This how wild this sport is. Jon Jones is the greatest physical athlete ever to compete in MMA plus he is likely the sport’s GOAT.
And even he can have a little self doubt after all these years? Only the sport of MMA could mess with a person’s mind like this. The next time you’re doubting yourself in life, just remember this Jon Jones interview about Daniel Cormier.
It feels like Bones let something slip here and he couldn’t catch himself before it was too late.
Maybe this is just the ultimate sign of respect from Bones to DC, but it sure does sound like Jones is legit shook about moving up to heavyweight. Like Bones is already up 2-0 in his series with Cormier, but he is doubting if it all translates up to heavyweight.
Are you serious right now?
Bones, you won by 5-0 scorecard sweep and then you knocked DC with a headkick in the second fight. Despite all of that, the self doubt monster is still in Jones’ ear telling him he might not be able to do any of that at heavyweight.
Pound for pound the most talented in MMA history is having second thoughts about his abilities. There is hope for all of us.
Maybe Bones Jones has turned over a new page in his career? Is Jones actually being both humble and respectful here? He has to be hopped on cold meds or something because that doesn’t sound like our Bones Jones.
DC to beat Stipe? 🤔
Jones 🆚 DC III? 🤔"DC is a special athlete, I don't think most guys would beat him!"
