Jon Jones has once again deleted a tweet just after taking aim at Tom Aspinall.

Jones has been the king of tweet-and-delete but for a moment in time, it appears he had enough of everyone saying Aspinall is the next big thing after his UFC London win.

In the main event, Aspinall scored a first-round TKO over Marcin Tybura and after the win, told Jon Jones he will beat him in two more fights.

“I’m gonna go to Paris, I’m gonna sit in the front row and see Cyril Gane vs. Serghei Spivac, I’m gonna beat the winner and then I’m gonna beat Jon Jones,” Aspinall said.

After the callout, Jones did take to Twitter and said ‘sounds good lol’ but now expanded further on the recent callout. All the young prospects calling out ‘Bones’ is nothing new but he wanted to remind Aspinall about how it plays out.

“Everyone’s the next big thing until I beat them. And then it’s like well. Who was that guy anyway? Just a few months ago Gane was the absolute future of MMA. Best foot work, fastest heavy weight we have ever seen. The most athletic. Not everyone’s like who the hell is that guy. Sometimes I feel like I have been in a deja vu, everyone’s going to be the guy to kick my ass. Meanwhile, I’m over here undefeated with a face full of gray hairs,” Jones said in a now deleted tweet.

Although Jon Jones did delete the tweet, it does have some truth as for years, ‘Bones’ has fought the next big thing, and after he beats them, they are written off.

With that, it appears Jones isn’t worried about fighting Aspinall should it come to fruition. Yet, ‘Bones’ needs to first beat Stipe Miocic in his first heavyweight title defense and after that, there is some talk this would be his retirement fight.
