Jon Jones And Massive Anthony ‘Rumble’ Johnson Staredown At Recent Bodybuilding Event

Former Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones Faces Off With Anthony ‘Rumble’ Johnson Over The Weekend At Bodybuilding Expo

Jon Jones was supposed to defend his UFC light heavyweight title against Anthony “Rumble” Johnson back in May of 2015 at UFC 187, but that showdown failed to come to fruition after ‘Bones’ was stripped of the title and sit on the shelf following a well documented hit-and-run case in New Mexico.

Jones, who is currently on provisional suspension after tested positive for steroids back in 2017. His knockout victory over rival Daniel Cormier at UFC 214 overturned to a No Contest, and later Cormier reinstated as the official 205-pound champ. Currently, Jones is awaiting the resolution as the case is in a process for over a year, while ‘Bones’ team is continually showing that positive test was due to tainted supplement and he shouldn’t receive a career-threatening four-year suspension.

Johnson, who retired from the MMA after losing a title opportunity to Cormier at UFC 210 back in 2017. ‘Rumble,’ who’s is now focusing on bodybuilding.

The chances of Jones and Johson throwing down inside the Octagon is slim, but Jones who shared a pic of him mean muggin’ with Anthony ‘Rumble’ Johnson at recent bodybuilding event over the weekend, where ‘Bones’ was present to represent his sponsor, GAT Supplements.

Jones, the best pound for pound fighter is expected to hear a verdict in coming weeks from USADA and he’s hopeful to return to Octagon sooner than expected.
