Joaquin Buckley doesn’t see Kevin Holland as some superhero from a comic book.
Holland has made some headlines recently, saving the day once again. Just this last week, ‘Trailblazer’ would rescue a man from an overturned trailer. Before that, the fighter would stop two crimes. Holland would be praised as an hero by many… and no, Buckley wasn’t among them.
‘He’s One Of The Fakest People In The Game’
Let’s just say Buckley isn’t a fan of his former foe. Perhaps, it’s because Holland knocked him out back in 2020, but that’s just a theory.
“Man, Kevin Holland, and not just because he beat me, he’s one of the fakest people in the game,” Buckley told SportsKeeda. “That guy is a fake a** bitch.
“He’s got everyone looking the other way with all this Batman bullsh*t. Running around pretending he’s something else, but I know who he really is.”
Part 2?
Buckley wouldn’t hold back when it came to Holland. But what of a potential fight between the two? With the rivals competing in separate weight divisions now, Buckley doesn’t have that on his mind at the moment.
“I’m not too worried about a rematch right now,” Buckley continued. “He’s down at 170lbs trying to figure his shit out. I’m focused on getting to that middleweight belt. That’s why I’m here, that’s why I do this.
“But I could do welterweight in the future. I don’t actually have to cut that much weight to get to 185lb. So once I’ve got my belt here we can call Kamaru Usman since he wants to be a champ champ. But that’s way in the future for now.”
