Jared Cannonier Stops Jack Hermansson With A Barrage Of Ground Strikes In The Second Round!
UFC Copenhagen is going down live this afternoon (Saturday, September 28, 2019) from inside Royal Arena in the capital of Denmark, and it is headlined by the 185-pound bout between the former CWFC champ Jack “The Joker” Hermansson and the only fighter in modern UFC history with knockout in three different categories, Jared “The Killa Gorilla” Cannonier.
Jared Cannonier enters first, he wears a gray T-shirt and gray shorts. Jack Hermansson is in a blue hoodie, blue shorts, but he also wears the flags of Norway and Sweden around his shoulders!
The third man inside the Octagon is Marc Goddard. The main event of the evening kicks off!
Round 1
No glove touch, Hermanson attacks with low kicks. Goddard steps in, but he restarts the match immediately. Hermanson goes for a takedown instantly, Cannonier defends well, he is on the fence.
Cannonier lands short punches and the two separate. Jab miss Jack. Low kick Jared, but Hermansson takes him down in a violent fashion, great suplex, now he controls the opponent’s back, he could go for a rear-naked choke, but Cannonier escapes and stands up.
Hermansson is on the fence, great battle, and another takedown. Awesome uppercut, missed by a hair! Hermansson retreats, jab exchange. Jared goes forward.
Big right hand. Low kick to the leg. Hermansson goes for a takedown again, good sprawl by Jared, stuffed. Good counter punch. Low kick Jared.
Big right hand by Jared again. Low kick Jared again, Hermansson goes for a takedown, easily stopped. Low kick Jack.
Body kicks Hermansson but he misses. Cannonier challenges him to go forward and drops his hands, Jack doesn’t buy it. Jab trade. Feint Cannonier.
Another strong low kick. Body kick Jack. Inside low kick Cannonier. 1-2 Jared. Wow, this low kick rocked Hermansson, and another kick followed by a jab. 10-9 Jared.
Round 2
Low kick Jack. And another one, but Jared checked it well. Wow, big uppercut by Jared Cannonier, he lands big strikes, Hermansson is in trouble.
Great finish by Cannonier, the referee steps in and stops the onslaught, fantastic TKO win by Jared Cannonier!!!
