Jamahal Hill thinks he would flatten Alex Pereira out at UFC 300.

Alex has no chance

Speaking to Bodog Canada, “Sweet Dreams” confidently said he would surely go for the knockout. For Hill, Pereira is a great fighter and an admirable person but there is just no way the Brazilian is beating him inside the Octagon.

“I’m knocking him the f**k out… And when I say this, this is no disrespect to Alex. However you take it, hoe you take it is how you take it. But for me, there’s no disrespect. I like Alex. I like Alex whenever he fights, I think he’s funny, I think he brings attention and good energy and good charisma and good things to the sport and to the company and to us all that are in this lane,” Hill said.

“I realized the mismatch it truly is, it’s truly a mismatch. Can he catch me and knock me out?… Yes it’s a possibility to get caught and lose… But short of that… he gets his a** whooped every single way… Anybody who thinks he’s gonna outclass me is out of their f**king mind,” he added.

Jamahal is grateful for Coach Eric

Even though UFC 300 is a massive event, Hill insisted that he is using the same mental approach for the Pereira fight. However, “Sweet Dreams” revealed that Xtreme Couture head coach Eric Nicksick has been instrumental to his camp.

“It’s business as usual,” Hill said. “I started out of Xtreme Couture. I’ve gotten built a real good relationship with some of the guys over there and with Coach Nicksick. He opened up the doors for me like, ‘Hey I know you’re out here, I know you need to recover, you need to get work, heal. Even if you just want to come in and be around the gym environment and the culture of just I mean just putting in the work in and being around some of the guys.’ He invited me to come in, I went in and I was getting work in. I was sparring with the wealth of the guys there.”

Hill was prompted to relinquish his light heavyweight title following his near career-ending Achilles injury. In his return at UFC 300, “Sweet Dreams” is ensuring to make the most of the opportunity to reclaim what’s his.

On the other hand, Pereira remains laser-focused on making history. He plans to defend his light heavyweight title at UFC 300 and also compete at UFC 301. At the same time, “Poatan” also wants to move up to heavyweight in the future.
