  • Israel Adesanya has been trolling Alex Pereira since post-UFC 295
  • “Poatan” suspects Izzy is not taking his callout seriously because of fear

It is clear as day that Alex Pereira still wants to settle the score with Israel Adesanya despite being the new light heavyweight champion. While it is yet to be known if a trilogy fight will take place, the pair has already begun trading shots.

Izzy laughed off at Alex

After Pereira called him out by saying “Come to daddy” following the TKO victory over Jiri Prochazka at UFC 295, Adesanya made a boisterous laugh and ultimately reminded “Poatan” that he got knocked out to sleep in their last meeting.

“How do I put this. Not even like Eminem and Mariah Carey. The fact that it sits with him,” Adesanya said on his YouTube channel. “It hurts his spirit, I like it. But he did it. Same arena, getting that belt again, yeah. I think probably Jamahal Hill is next for him, but I know for a fact it hurts his spirit, which I like.”

“It’s all good. What did he say? Come to daddy? Last time I checked, n***a you were f**king slept,” he continued.

Alex smells fear

Aside from his UFC 295 reaction, Izzy also mocked Pereira on social media by posting a photo of his KO loss in their rematch. As expected, Adesanya’s taunts did not go unnoticed. In a recent Q&A with fans, “Poatan” pointed out that he doesn’t understand what Adesanya wants at the moment and he only senses fear.

“I had said it right there with all due respect right and then he made a post there and like the same paper right the fight we had, right he didn’t take it Seriously, I find it a little difficult now because of this non-declaration but because of this sample that he gave there, you know, making a post taking it as a joke, I don’t know, I don’t know if it’s fear, I don’t know what it is, but now I think he doesn’t, you will want to face me,” Pereira said.

UFC president Dana White is unsure about a third title fight between Pereira and Adesanya with Jamahal Hill being the favorite to become the next light heavyweight title challenger. However, he made it clear that he is not ruling it out.

As it stands, Pereira and Adesanya is 1-1 in MMA but the Brazilian has beaten Izzy twice in kickboxing and is still the only fighter to knock Adesanya out.
