Israel Adesanya and Jon Jones have had a feud for a few years now, and they finally met in person.
As Jones was on the sidelines anticipating his heavyweight move, he took aim at Adesanya and at times, many thought the fight would happen. It would’ve been one of the biggest fights to make in MMA and they both expressed interest in it, while also trashing one another.
“I’ve never had a conversation with this guy, ever,” Israel Adesanya stated on The MMA Hour. “So how am I going to have a friendship, or buddy-dom with someone I’ve never talked to? We’ve beefed. I don’t like him, he doesn’t like me, but we respect each other’s skills. I was a fan before I was even in the UFC, youngest UFC champion, did a lot of great things for his career. Then he called me out and I was like ‘The f*ck did I do to you?’, so I went back at him. We went back for a bit on Twitter, which was fun. But, you know, the story’s not over.”
After years of trash-talk, no fight ever came to fruition, and appears the two have put their differences beside them.
Now, as both Israel Adesanya and Jon Jones are in Las Vegas for UFC 290, they ran into each other, and ‘The Last Stylebender’ posted a video of their encounter.

“First Alex, this motherf****r Jones,” Adesanya said in the video as the two are smiling and laughing.
After Adesanya posted the video with Jon Jones, many fans laughed at it and enjoyed that it appears the two have squashed their beef.
Israel Adesanya is currently the UFC middleweight champion and is rumored to defend his belt in September against the winner of Robert Whittaker vs. Dricus Du Plessis. Jon Jones, meanwhile, is the heavyweight champ and does not have his next fight booked but is hopeful to face Stipe Miocic in November.
