Lightweight fireworks are coming to Las Vegas.

On Tuesday, Dan Hooker confirmed to The Mac Life that his next fight would be against no other than #10 ranked Jalin Turner. The bout is the latest addition to a stacked UFC 285 card, which takes place on March 4th.

Hooker will look to make it two wins in a row when he meets Turner at UFC 285. He last defeated Claudio Puelles with a body kick at UFC 281 in which he successfully rebounded from losses to Arnold Allen and Islam Makhachev.

‘Hangman’ will likely crack the top 10 lightweight rankings again, should he out-tangle the #10 ranked ‘Tarantula’.

“I think everyone knows me, I try to target the best fighter,” Hooker told The Mac Life. “I try to target the highest person up that you possibly can and that’s Jalin Turner. That’s a good fight, #11 vs. #10. Get myself back in the top 10. It’s exciting.”

“He is good,” Hooker said of Turner as an opponent. “He’s fought pretty much every Anza [laughs]. I’ve obviously seen him compete against guys I know for a few years. So obviously [I] know he’s a very talented fighter and like a  good finisher. I’m excited to get out there and test our skills.”

Turner is riding an impressive 5-fight win streak over the likes of Brad Riddell, Jamie Mullarkey and Uros Medic. He’ll try to add Hooker to that list, which would be the biggest name in his resume to date.
