- Henry Cejudo claims Sean O’Malley appears to be injured in training camp
- “Triple C” believes Merab Dvalishvili will win at UFC 306 and he and “Suga” will face each other
Henry Cejudo came up with a rumor claiming Sean O’Malley has an injury and is rooting for Mreb Dvalishvili to win at UFC 306.
Henry says Sean is hurt
Speaking on his Pound 4 Pound podcast with Kamaru Usman, “Triple C” weighed in on the upcoming bantamweight title fight between O’Malley and Dvalishvili. According to Cejudo, “three” of his sources have informed him that “Suga” appears to be hurt and struggling with grappling.
Moreover, Cejudo is certain “The Machine” will get the better of the reigning bantamweight champion at UFC 306.
“He doesn’t know how to get off of bottom. He’s having trouble. I have three training partners that gone out there that’s all told me the same sh*t. Just like when I’m injured, he always knows, he’s tweeted out like, ‘Hey, when I lost to Merab Dvalishvili, he knew that I was injured.’ That’s what happens when you live in the same city. People know other people that will say sh*t,” Cejudo said.
“It’s a match made in heaven for a guy like Merab… He just needs to be careful in those [first] two rounds and as the fight goes on, I can see Merab Dvalishvili f**king taking him out. Am I a snitch? Am I a snitch, Kamaru?,” he added.
Henry thinks he and Sean would cross paths
Cejudo then shared his thoughts on the bantamweight title picture, considering O’Malley will lose to Dvalishvili. The way he sees it, he and “Suga” would be meant to fight and it would take him back to title contention.
“Once he loses to Merab, because I do believe he’s gonna lose to Merab, the next fight that’s up is me and him… I know that Merab is gonna get this win… There’s one fight and I’m gonna go back to this I think the fight between me and Sean O’Smelly Ronald McDonald makes a lot of sense dude… and that would get me quicker to the title shot at 135 pounds so I would still love that,” Cejudo assessed.
It’s hard to tell if any of Cejudo’s massive takes will come to reality. The only thing certain at this point is O’Malley and Dvalishvili’s title fight is happening in a few days at The Sphere.
