Don’t expect Henry Cejudo to be in Petr Yan’s corner for UFC 273.

Yan will be taking on Aljamain Sterling in an undisputed UFC Bantamweight Title fight. Yan holds the interim gold. This will be a rematch from their March 2021 encounter, which was won by Sterling via disqualification.

Yan has offered both Sean O’Malley and Henry Cejudo to be in his corner.

“Hey coach @HenryCejudo what are your plans on April 9th?”

At first, Cejudo appeared to have some fun with the offer.

“Get me a booster seat and I’ll work your corner,” Cejudo replied. “You kneed me #andnew”

Henry Cejudo Changes His Mind

Just days before UFC 273, Cejudo has taken to Twitter to reveal that he’s changed his mind about taking Yan up on his offer.

“Sorry buddy I ain’t nobody’s Waterboy! Between your knees and O’Malley’s steroids…it’s just too much illegal activity for me to be involved in. #bendthekneepotatoface.”

UFC 273 will take place inside the Vystar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida. The action will go down on April 9. Sterling vs. Yan 2 is the co-main event. Headlining the card will be a UFC Featherweight Title fight between champion Petr Yan and the “Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung.

Fight fans will also be treated to a welterweight showdown between Gilbert Burns and Khamzat Chimaev.
