Heads up, this is what the UFC middleweight division looks like in 2014

2014 will be known as the year in which the middleweight and welterweight divisions regurgitated over itself and every fighter in those respective divisions were assigned janitorial duties to clean the mess. This is the first time in eight years that Anderson Silva won’t be the UFC middleweight champion. That’s longer than most of you have been watching MMA — regardless of if you convince people that you were around during the golden age of Pride FC.

Chris Weidman is the undisputed UFC middleweight champion and judging from the landscape in the 185 lb division, a potpourri of contenders will be challenging him this year. Quite frankly I wouldn’t be surprised if Chael Sonnen or Michael Bisping is the title holder by the end of 2014. Of course Weidman’s first true title defense will be against Vitor Belfort, and this poster by @nixsons makes the reality of the UFC middleweight division in 2014 just a little bit more real.
