Social media star Hasbulla Nurmagomedov has reportedly signed a five-year deal with the UFC.
According to a report from MMA report Igor Lazorin, the pint-sized superstar has signed a deal with the promotion that includes promotional appearances, social media marketing, and potentially a fight inside the Octagon.
“This is a blast from the face,” Lazorin said via Instagram. “Hasbulla signed a five year contract with UFC! So far in the plan – attending tournaments, media activity. We will not talk about the amounts in detail, but there they are such that many fighters do not get that much. Hasbulla signed 5 year contract with UFC! No fights yet, but…”
The Dagestani social media sensation rose to fame at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic for his humours call-outs of UFC stars Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov. Since then, the world has come down with Hasbulla fever. Also known as ‘Mini Khabib’, Hasbulla has become good friends with fellow Dagestani mixed martial artists Khabib Nurmagomedov and Islam Makhachev.
Dana White is Excited to Work With Hasbulla
Speaking to Barstool Sports about initially meeting Hasbulla in Abu Dhabi, UFC President Dana White had nothing, but positive things to say of the experience and discussed his influence on social media.
“So I’m going to tell you something. So the video that he sent saying ‘Dana White I’m coming to Abu Dhabi and UFC’, so when I posted that with me on the plane saying ‘I’m coming’, it’s the biggest post that I’ve ever posted.” White said. “I have 6.7 million followers on Instagram, 6.4 million people watched that video. Is that f*cking crazy?!”
Dana White described the first-time meeting as “incredible” and even teased a potential fight featuring Hasbulla down the line.
“I love the kid. Is there more than a zero percent chance? Yes.”
