- Hasbulla will be joining Islam Makhachev’s corner at UFC 280
- The internet star is expected to appear in more UFC events
It’s safe to say Islam Makhachev is not lacking the support he needed heading into his first title fight against Charles Oliveira at UFC 280. Apart from former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, internet sensation Hasbulla Magomedov will also be in his corner during the biggest fight of his MMA career.
The hype is real
The connection between Hasbulla and Makhachev has been there but apparently, their relationship isn’t just for the cameras.
According to Makhachev’s manager Ali Abdelaziz, Hasbulla will be joining the UFC lightweight title contender’s corner on Oct. 22 at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
“Hasbulla and Khabib will be in the corner of Islam Makhachev during his fight with Charles Oliveira at UFC 280 in Abu Dhabi. #UFC280,” Abdelaziz confirmed to MMA Pack (h/t MMA Uncensored).
Hasbulla will be here for a while
Last month, it was reported that Hasbulla has inked a five-year contract with the UFC. With that in mind and given his friendship with UFC president Dana White, Hasbulla will be appearing more in huge events such as UFC 280.
On top of that, Hasbulla is also friends with Nurmagomedov so it wouldn’t be a surprise if he corner more fighters affiliated with “The Eagle” in the future.

UFC 280 is set to happen Oct. 22. It will finally end the drama in the lightweight division as either Makhachev or Oliveira will be hailed champion. Ahead of the highly-anticipated title fight, the pair has already been trading shots on social media, making fans more excited about their clash.
The Brazilian is coming in fresh off a first-round submission win over Justin Gaethje at UFC 274 and has gone unbeaten in his last 11 trips to the octagon. Makhachev, meanwhile, is also coming off a first-round TKO victory over Bobby Green at UFC Fight Night 202 and hasn’t tasted a defeat in his last 10 fights.
