Hasbulla Magomedov was arrested in Dagestan, Russia.
Hasbulla, a popular social media personality, is a 20-year-old Russian born with a growth hormone deficiency called dwarfism. He is known for making funny social media videos and being friends with several Russian UFC fighters, including Khabib Nurmagomedov and Islam Makhachev.
On Monday, May 8, Hasbulla was reportedly celebrating a friend’s wedding, leading to minor legal troubles. After breaking several traffic laws, the social media personality and his friends were arrested. The Ministry of Internal Affairs in Dagestan posted a statement about the situation on Telegram, which was translated from Russian:
“Wedding unbridled fun in Dagestan is known to many and far beyond the borders of the republic. In the absence of other ways of entertainment, such a primitive option is still extremely popular – blocking roads for other road users, burning rubber, beating cars against each other and many other features that, in fact, have nothing to do with the celebration and holiday of the young.”
The statement continued:
“Unless, of course, there are misfortunes, because otherwise the holiday will be spoiled for the young. All participants in the “wedding emotions”, as they themselves call it, were taken to the police, and administrative protocols were drawn up against them by employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Dagestan for all violations committed.”

Hasbulla starts selling “Free Hasbulla” shirts
Hasbulla has people that run some of his social media accounts and sell various types of merchandise. Shortly after his arrest, a Twitter account associated with the social media personality began selling t-shirts with a fake mugshot that said, “Free Hasbulla.” Along with a purchasing link, the Twitter post said:
“Free Hasbulla Tee just dropped Support the cause”
In 2022, Hasbulla signed a five-year contract with the UFC to sell merchandise and appear at events. Whenever the UFC holds a fight card in Abu Dhabi, the 20-year-old is seen sitting cageside next to Dana White. The Russian social media personality continues to grow his platform, leading to 8.5 million Instagram followers.
