Styles from all around the world gather to a far away land for a mysterious martial arts tournament. No, I’m not talking about Bloodsport—although now that song is stuck in my head—I’m talking about Moat Fight. Senegalese wrestling pitted against Capoeira, Judoka tries to ippon Karateka, all surrounded by a moat! You know shits about to get real when a group of samurai warriors enters a platform protected by the Smoke Monster deity from Lost.

The whole concept is crazy. Basically, it’s Sumo and MMA’s bastard child. Unfortunately, the moat is not surrounded by alligators or electric eels (fingers crossed though for Moat Fight 4) but being “moated” three times in a round counts as a TKO. Grappling exchanges must quickly lead to ground and pound or a submission to keep the action exciting, and of course you can get knocked out.
Just check out this crazy Capoeira kick KO from Marcus Aurelio who then proceeded to try and out flip Sage Northcutt in an epic celebration.
