Video: Frank Mir And Herb Dean Intervene On ACB 87 Weigh Ins Scuffle

Former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir and MMA referee Herb Dean were forced to intervene after a scuffle broke out between two fighters weighing in for ACB 88 in England on Friday.

Mir and Dean were on hand during Robert Whiteford and Kane Mousah‘s weigh-ins and stare-down for their featherweight main event clash, and both men were thrown into the fray when Whiteford and Mousah got into a physical altercation.

Mir handles commentanting duties for ACB and recently stated his interest in fighting for the Russian-based promotion next before once again fighting for Bellator:

“I would like to get a fight in with the ACB before that, so I can just get more time in clocked under me so I can get my timing back on for fighting.”

Mir lost in his Bellator debut after Fedor Emelianenko knocked the former champion out in the first round of their Bellator Heavyweight Grand Prix bout at Bellator 199.

Herb Dean himself fought professionally at heavyweight for years before making the switch to officiating MMA. Thankfully, the two featherweights were easily subdued by Mir and Dean, who quickly separated the two fighters before anyone got hurt.
