Francis Ngannou Says Fight Against Jon Jones Is Inevitable If “Bones” Moves One Division Up
Francis Ngannou called out Jon Jones in the past. Jones recently called bout against Francis Ngannou inevitable.
The Cameroonian punching expert recently talked to TMZ, where he agreed Jones’ claims. It seems he keeps pursuing the 265-pound bout against the dominant 205-pound champion.
“If he (Jones) goes up to heavyweight, of course I would say the same thing as him, it’s inevitable. If Jon Jones goes up to heavyweight I’m going to fight him.”
But, on the other side, “The Predator” says the bout against Jon Jones can’t happen unless the reigning defending 205-pound champ cruises 60 pounds north. Francis Nganou also believes Jon could change weight class to chase the clash against the division champ Stipe Miocic.
“The problem is this. Jon Jones is not a heavyweight. So it’s up to Jon Jones, because as I said if I’m going to the light heavyweight there’s no way you’re going (to a different weight division) to fight the champ and not fight the champ.”
