Francis Ngannou has teased a “delivery system” that will help him defeat Tyson Fury.

On October 28, Ngannou will temporarily step away from mixed martial arts to compete in a ten-round boxing match against Fury. Despite his undeniable knockout power, Ngannou has been overlooked thus far, as most people believe he won’t be able to cleanly hit the WBC heavyweight world champion

Earlier this week, Ngannou and Fury met in London for their first press conference and faceoff. The former UFC heavyweight champion had this to say for those questioning whether he can land a knockout punch on ‘The Gypsy King’:

“We’re working on the delivery system. If you’ve been watching my training, you would see that we have one of the best guys in the world that ever lived, that ever done this, in the camp. The man of Mike Tyson. I think if you are talking about a delivery system, you can’t go any bigger than that.”

Ngannou continued:

“We are working on the delivery system because it’s a very important element for me in this fight. I heard people say, ‘Oh, he has the biggest punch. He punch.’ But if you can’t punch somebody, your punch is worthless. I really intend to make my punch useful.”

Francis Ngannou is aware of the massive challenge he’s facing by fighting Tyson Fury

Francis Ngannou would shock the world and create history if he defeated Tyson Fury. Although he maintains confidence in his boxing abilities, Ngannou isn’t delusional to the point of thinking it will be easy. During the same press conference, ‘The Predator’ reflected on his upcoming opportunity by saying:

“Don’t be a fool. I know this is a big challenge for me, and I’m working really hard to put myself in the best position because not many fighters have this opportunity in their lifetime, in their career, to be sitting in this position and having a fight of this magnitude. Sometimes I wake up in the night and I’m like, hey, man, am I tripping? Is this real?”

The odds will be stacked against Francis Ngannou on October 28 in Saudi Arabia. Luckily for him, he has the work ethic and team (Mike Tyson, Eric Nicksick, and Dewey Cooper) needed to potentially pull off the massive upset.
