Dustin Poirier is considering the possibility of facing the winner of Tony Ferguson vs. Michael Chandler. Ferguson, on the other hand, is calling his bluff.

Poirier Thinks He Might Face Chandler/Ferguson

The top UFC lightweight contender was recently told by a fan to fight either Chandler or Ferguson next. Safe to say that Poirier thinks it may happen.

“Prolly so.” Poirier wrote.

Ferguson Responds

‘El Cucuy’ isn’t exactly buying Poirier’s interest in a potential fight between the two.

“He’s full of sh*t,” Ferguson told Middle Easy at the UFC 274 media day.  “He said he wanted to fight with me anytime. I gave the opportunity to him. He needed more money to be able to fight. The kid’s full of sh*t.

“Got nothing against Poirier or any of the other fighters,” Ferguson added. “I’m worried about Chandler.”

Poirier and Ferguson have remained at the top of the UFC Lightweight division for quite some time. However, in all of those years the fighters have never been pitted against each other.

Perhaps we might see a matchup between them in the future. Until then, Ferguson is keeping his focus on his next opponent Michael Chandler at UFC 274.
