Dustin joins the UFC 303 broadcast team

Less than a month after his title fight loss to Islam Makhachev at UFC 302, “The Diamond” has decided to go back to work but this time as part of the UFC 303 broadcast team. According to MMA Junkie, Poirier will join Chael Sonnen and Teddy Atlas as post-fight show desk analysts and they will work alongside desk anchor and host Brendan Fitzgerald.

Other members of the event’s broadcast team are Dan Hellie, who will be the host the official UFC 303 weigh-in show, as well as Daniel Cormier, Chris Weidman and Laura Sanko. Longtime UFC correspondent Megan Olivi will be assigned as UFC 303’s roving reporter.

UFC 303 will be available on pay-per-view and will be streamed via ESPN+ pay-per-view in the U.S. beginning at 10 p.m. ET.

Dustin is still mulling over his next move

Prior to joining the UFC 303 broadcast team, Poirier talked about possible retirement. As per “The Diamond,” he would’ve called it quits had he won the lightweight title. However, that wasn’t the case and Poirier admitted that he will use his time off to figure things out.

As it stands, Poirier is currently the No. 4 ranked lightweight contender and has amassed a 30-9-1 pro MMA record in his 15-year career.
