It looks like Leon Edwards recreated his headkick from UFC 280 on Ian Garry.

The UFC welterweight prospect had to seek medical attention following a training session with ‘Rocky’. Garry was hesitant to talk about why he was hospitalized but upon being questioned by his wife, he’d tell the truth on what happened at the gym.

It turns out the story would share a key moment with Edward’s capture of the UFC Welterweight Championship, where he knocked out Kamaru Usman with a beautiful head kick in the final round.

Garry Speaks On The Aftermath

Of course, it wasn’t so beautiful to Garry after receiving the strike in sparring himself.

“(Look at) the f*cking size of my lip,” Garry said in a video posted to his Instagram. “We went to the hospital this morning because for the last two days I’ve been in excruciating pain — she’s shooting f*cking through my face from my teeth. So yeah, Leon, I’m blaming you for my tooth f*cking pain.”

“My wife always makes sure my ego is in check,” Garry continued in the caption. “But he never would have landed it if my cardio was on point. I have been off for four months. But he did land it. F*ck Leon Edwards.”

Thanks a lot, Leon Edwards.
