Drake has officially placed his bet for UFC 278.
The iconic rapper has become a meme in recent years for cursing whoever he roots for. One such example is when he was at the side of Conor McGregor prior to his defeat against Khabib Nurmagomedov back in 2018.
A more recent example was his big-money bets on Jorge Masvidal and Justin Gaethje to come out on top against Colby Covington and Charles Oliveira respectively.
Unfortunately for him, those bets didn’t go through, but that hasn’t stopped the Canadian from dropping big money.
Ahead of UFC 278 tomorrow night, Drake placed a bet of nearly $239,000 on Jose Aldo to come out on top against Merab Dvalishvili in their bantamweight encounter.
Drake Bets On Underdog Jose Aldo
Aldo is a slight betting underdog against the red-hot Dvalishvili, which is why Drake stands to earn as much as $516,000 should the “King of Rio” emerge victorious.
While Dvalishvili has used his wrestling to come out on top in recent years, Aldo boasts some of the best takedown defense the sport has ever seen.
And even though he’s not in his prime anymore, Aldo still remains one of the very best fighters on the planet and could easily get his fourth consecutive win.
The good news is Drake isn’t entirely cursed anymore. He made big-money bets on Israel Adesanya, Paddy Pimblett and Molly McCann this year which all cashed out.
The only question is how long will Drake’s good run of fortune last.
