Trump gave Khabib his word
As a longtime UFC fan and supporter, Trump made another appearance at UFC 302 in Newark, New Jersey this past weekend. The former POTUS crossed paths with Nurmagomedov and the pair had the chance to talk about other important things outside sports.
In their exchange, the UFC legend asked for some reassurance from Trump regarding some assistance in the fight against war in Palestine, to which the former POTUS quickly and firmly acknowledged.
“I know you will stop the war in Palestine,” Nurmagomedov told Trump.
“We will stop it. I will stop the war,” Trump replied while shaking Khabib’s hand.

Khabib and Trump got some things to take care of
After UFC 302, Nurmagomedov and Trump will go back to their respective jobs to take care of certain matters. Nurmagomedov is now back in Islam Makhachev’s team and has been pivotal to the lightweight champion’s successful title defense against Dustin Poirier at UFC 302.
On the other hand, Trump is scheduled to debate against U.S. President Joe Biden on June 27 in Atlanta.
