MMA legend and current ONE flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson has made his predictions for the two title fights scheduled for UFC 295.

In the main event of the November 11 card, Jiri Prochazka and Alex Pereira will collide for the vacant UFC Light Heavyweight Championship. The co-main event will see Sergei Pavlovich and Tom Aspinall share the Octagon to determine who will be the interim UFC heavyweight champion.

Demetrious Johnson Shares Pick For Jiri Prochazka vs. Alex Pereira

In a new video posted on his YouTube channel, Demetrious Johnson explained what Jiri Prochazka has to do to reclaim the UFC light heavyweight gold against Alex Pereira.

“If Jiri goes out there and tries to play the good old kickboxing game, he’s probably gonna get knocked the hell out,” Johnson said. “So, I think Jiri has to be dynamic, that is his ace in the hole to win this fight.”

As far as a prediction goes, “Mighty Mouse” is taking Prochazka.

“My gut’s telling me that Jiri is gonna come back as the new light heavyweight champion of the world,” Johnson said. “When you look at Jiri, he’s just more dynamic. What do I mean by dynamic? He’s doing push kicks, he’s not scared to do a takedown, he’s doing spinning back elbows, and I think his approach to this fight is a little unorthodox.”

“I think he’s gonna submit him,” Johnson said.

DJ Picks Sergei Pavlovich vs. Tom Aspinall

When it comes to the big boys fighting for gold, Johnson is leaning towards Sergei Pavlovich getting the job done.

“My pick for this one is gonna be Sergei,” Johnson said.

“I think he’s explosive, great hands, and not that Tom doesn’t have either of those, but when you have to pick and choose between each of these gentlemen I’m gonna go on a limb and I’m gonna go with Sergei.”
