- Dana White urges Israel Adesanya to hire a personal driver in light of his recent DUI arrest
- The UFC boss commented on an update about Mark Hunt’s legal battle with the UFC
UFC president Dana White candidly spoke about Israel Adesanya’s DUI arrest ahead of UFC 293. The media also quizzed the UFC boss for comments on Mark Hunt’s lawsuit against the promotion.
Izzy should get a driver
Speaking to the media after a recent filming of Dana White Contender Series, White did not say Izzy’s DUI arrest weeks before UFC 293 may have impacted his title fight loss to Sean Strickland. However, the UFC boss encouraged “The Last Stylebender” to hire a driver next time.
“Bad decisions, man,” White said of Izzy’s recent DUI charge. “No matter how many drinks you had, if you drink, don’t drive… Ubering is easy and all this other stuff, but when you have that kind of money that that kid has, get a driver, have somebody drive you, or Uber, or whatever. He made a bad decision, thank god nobody was hurt, him or anybody else.”
“And you know what I say about mistakes: how do you handle them after you make them? Hopefully, that’s a one-and-done for him and he never does it again,” he concluded.

It is yet to be known if Adesanya would get a rematch but his coach is certain it could happen just before the current year ends.
Dana and the UFC got the last laugh
Besides Adesanya’s DUI charge, White also shared his honest thoughts on Hunt’s long-standing legal battle with the UFC which stemmed from his UFC 200 bout with Brock Lesnar. On Tuesday, “The Super Samoan” lost in the lawsuit once again.
White thinks Hunt has become too obsessed with putting the UFC down and now he ended up having to pay some legal fees as a consequence.
“Listen, Mark Hunt… he has lost so many lawsuits against us, it’s insane. He’s a bit of a delusional guy. He’s going to have to pay some legal fees,” White said of Hunt.

Hunt has been unapologetically accusing the UFC of racketeering, fraud, and breach of contract, among others, since 2017. Unfortunately for the MMA legend, the court dismissed his appeal.
