- Dana White has agreed to let Derrick Lewis and other UFC fighters to join the WWE
- The UFC president also took a jab at Vince McMahon while addressing the subject
UFC president Dana White has no problem with Derrick Lewis and other UFC fighters participating in WWE events.
The boss says yes
Speaking to the media in his post-UFC St. Louis press conference, the UFC boss was asked to comment on Lewis’ plan to join the WWE while still in contract with the UFC. According to White, “The Black Beast” has earned his right to do whatever he wants with his career. Moreover, White said he never had an issue with UFC fighters dreaming of joining the WWE.
“Yeah, I would do anything for Derrick Lewis. I really like Derrick Lewis a lot. Listen, some of the fighters who fight here have always dreamed about doing a WWE match or whatever it is and I don’t have a problem with that,” White explained.
Dana takes a jab at Vince
To further assure that it wouldn’t be an issue, White pointed out that he had been fine with UFC fighters linking up with the WWE even if Vince McMahon kept hitting out at him. Now that McMahon is already out of the picture, White said things like this should go smooth.
“I mean, I didn’t have a problem with that when Vince was consistently f**king me for no reason and now that that’s not the case anymore, I, obviously, would absolutely do it,” White added.

White and McMahon are both the faces of their respective organizations but for some reason, there had been some conflict between the two executives. It can be recalled that White said he wasn’t given a front row seat when he came to see Ronda Rousey at a WrestleMania event. For White, it speaks volumes about how much McMahon appears to hate his guts.
As for Lewis, he is still one of the Top 15 heavyweight contenders in the UFC but he seems to be eager to take part in WWE events every now and then.
