Injury woes for Dan Hooker, out of the upcoming bout against Jalin Turner.

Dan Hooker’s much-anticipated bout against Jalin Turner at UFC 285 has been derailed after the lightweight fighter suffered a hand injury during training. The news of Hooker’s withdrawal was first reported by MMA Fighting. The UFC is yet to make an official announcement regarding the change in the fight card.

The UFC is on the hunt for a new opponent for Jalin Turner, whose five-fight winning streak has made him eager to add another notch to his belt. With a 13-5 MMA and 6-2 UFC record, Turner has shown his prowess in the octagon, having submitted Brad Riddell, a teammate of Dan Hooker’s at City Kickboxing, in quick fashion at UFC 276. Among his other notable victories are Jamie Mullarkey and Uros Medic.
