‘Dangerous’ Dakota Ditcheva continued her impressive run in mixed martial arts at Dublin’s 3Arena on Friday.

Stepping into the Smart Cage, the Muay Thai specialist moved to 10-0 in MMA with an impressive performance against Valentina Scatizzi to capture the PFL Europe flyweight championship. Utilizing her skills in the art of eight limbs, Ditcheva brutalized her opponent with a series of vicious knees that ultimately ended things in the opening round.

Near the halfway point of the round, Ditcheva closed the distance and put Scatizzi in a Thai clinch before unleashing a flurry of knees. The Italian fighter’s left eye immediately swelled, compromising her vision.

To Scatizzi’s credit, she never once hit the mat during the onslaught, but immediately following the first round, the contest was called off at the recommendation of the cageside physician.

The victory earned Ditcheva a $100,000 prize and locked in her spot for the 2024 PFL regular season.

In 10 career MMA bouts, Ditcheva has stopped eight of her opponents by way of knockout. Speaking with BBC.com, ‘Dangerous’ gives all of the credit for her signature power to her mother.

“I get my fighting genes from my mum. I think that [winning by knockout] is why I’ve got so much hype around me because I do get the finishes and you don’t often see that with women,” said Ditcheva.

“I’ll have to give my mum the credit for that and for what she has taught me in striking since the very beginning. That’s why I’ve still got her on my side now.”
