Cris Cyborg is happy with where she’s at in her career.

Following an almost-perfect run in the UFC that saw her become champion, Cyborg would do the same in Bellator but this time without any blemishes on her record. The Bellator Featherweight Champion went a perfect 5-0 inside the promotion before stepping into the boxing ring this year and winning her first two bouts.

Cyborg On Going Back To The UFC

Coming off her latest boxing win on a Terence Crawford undercard and having Cat Zingano in her cross-heirs, Cyborg isn’t really counting on a UFC return.

“I don’t feel like I wanna go back to the UFC, because I don’t have the best relationship over there,” Cyborg told Middle Easy. “I think the pay for the fighters is very different. Some fighters, they’re happy there, but for me, it was a really known good, great thing for my brand. I don’t know, I still feel like I’m really happy where I’m at now.”

Nunes Rematch? ‘It Can Happen’.

While Cyborg doesn’t have the UFC in her sights, there is still some unfinished business for her inside the Octagon… that being a rematch with Amanda Nunes.

‘The Lioness’ reigned supreme over Cyborg in their 2018 clash, where she KO’ed Cyborg in just 51 seconds. Following the fight, the former UFC Champ campaigned for an immediate rematch… one that she never got. IF Cyborg were to come back to the promotion, it’d be to avenge this loss.

“For sure I would lose out on the rematch [against Amanda Nunes], but then the opportunity supposed to happen in the rematch they didn’t give me. Even [Nunes], she said I have to wait two years.

“Maybe if this fight happens in the future, I’m gonna be there fighting and it can happen. I always leave in God’s hands and if it happen, I’m gonna be ready for sure. I’ll improve my game and learning and they’re gonna be great fight. So, let’s see what’s gonna happen in the future.”
