Daniel Cormier Accepts Corey Anderson’s Challenge At Light HeavyWeight
Daniel Cormier picked up a historic victory over Stipe Miocic at UFC 226 and becomes the only second fighter in the UFC roaster to hold titles in two divisions simultaneously. After the fight, Brock Lesnar entered the Octagon and shoved him, hyping up their super fight.
Cormier declares already he’ll fight twice before his retirement, and apparently, Lesnar will be the last fight of his career, but Lesnar is currently under USADA testing pool and can’t fight until early 2019. So Cormier wants another big fight while he waits for the WWE superstar, to which ‘DC’ teased to defend his light heavyweight title against Shogun Rua, but Anthony Smith went to defeat Rua in the main event of UFC Hamburg.
Alexander Gustafsson who recently pulled out of UFC 227, following that Cormier slams “The Mauler’ for pulling out, and Jon Jones currently dealing issues with USADA, so locking horns against him is far of to think.
Now another contender Corey Anderson a The Ultimate Fighter winner is coming off a convincing three-round decision win over Glover Teixeira in the main event of UFC Hamburg, called out Daniel Cormier for a 205-pound title fight earlier today. Surprisingly Cormier did accept his challenge.
“Yo @dc_mma , They said a win over me and Glover would earn a title shot..I beat em, media said you wanted Shogun and he lost, you told Gus off, and you already fought Volkan.. I’ll never “call you out” out of respect. But I’m 100% down to fight you. #UFC @ufc #letsdoit.”
“Ok , sure just find out when and where. I’ll be there. I always am!”

With the current situation of light heavyweight division, that’s a good chance that Cormier might defend his 205-pound title.
