Conor McGregor has had plenty to say about his forever foe Khabib Nurmagomedov following the horrific terrorist attacks in the UFC Hall of Famer’s hometown of Dagestan.
On Sunday, June 23, armed assailants opened fire on churches, synagogues, and police posts in the cities of Derbent and the regional capital Makhachkala. More than 20 people were reportedly killed in the attack, including 15 police officers and four civilians, including a priest per a report from CNN.
Six militants were identified in the attack, one of which was revealed to be Gadzhimurad Kagirov, a former mixed martial artist with close ties to Nurmagomedov and his late father, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov. Kagirov had taken part in the attack on Derbent and was also a cousin of the head of the Sergokalinsky district, which lies between Derbent and Makhachkala.
As a result, a raid was conducted on Nurmagomedov’s gym in Makhachkala.

Of course, the Irish megastar didn’t stop there. He followed that up with a couple of lengthy posts which have since been deleted, referring to Nurmagomedov as ‘the terrorist’ and accusing his gym of holding drug testers hostage.
“In the terrorists gym when a tester showed up they would hold him hostage and give a random clean persons urine vs the fighters they were looking to test,” McGregor wrote. “All will come out now. When this comes down on top of them watch what surfaces. There is a video of khabib walking into a premise full of people and smashing it up entirely with a bat , threatening all those inside. Shortly after the attacks in Dagestani, Nurmagomedov issued a statement condemning the actions of the instigators on Instagram, writing:
“My condolences to all the relatives and friends of the victims. May Allah save us all from such institutions and grant us a peaceful sky over our heads. Take care of yourself and your loved ones and let everyone look around themselves and around their children with whom they interact with and who is around them. Educating souls is more important than educating bodies.”
