  • Conor McGregor ripped Khabib Nurmagomedov over reports stating he has unpaid taxes in Russia
  • “Notorious” thinks “The Eagle” will try to make a UFC return to make money again

Conor McGregor shamelessly took pleasure in blasting Khabib Nurmagomedov over the alleged unpaid tax issues back in Russia.

Conor isn’t done with Khabib

During a live stream on the official Duelbits channel, “Notorious” took the opportunity to hit out at his former UFC rival. In typical McGregor fashion, the Irish MMA superstars insulted Nurmagomedov over his reported unpaid taxes in Russia and even called the former lightweight champion a “fat rat.”

McGregor also speculated that Nurmagomedov will now make his UFC return to make money again and the MMA world would be glad to welcome him.

“That’s typical rat behavior. Scurrying rat. So he has bills to pay,” McGregor said of Khabib. “… Fight for legacy? Two main events or something he has in the UFC and he owes his bollocks to the Russian government… So, I’m ecstatic and delighted that that’s coming on top of him and we all will welcome him back into the fight game where he’s ran from. It’s a rat trap… We see him back around. Fat rat we call him.”

Khabib owes the Russian gov’t $3 million

According to previous reports, Nurmagomedov owes the Russian government about $3 million of unpaid taxes. It was also noted that some of the UFC legend’s businesses have already been closed due to discrepancies in tax records.

On the other hand, McGregor is also dealing with some legal issues in Ireland stemming from the sale of his Proper No. 12 whiskey. Reports said that “Notorious” has been ordered to disclose the total amount of his profits from the sale as part of his ongoing legal battle with his former business partner and former UFC fighter Artem Lobov.

As for McGregor’s comment about Nurmagomedov possibly considering a UFC return to pay off his debts, it’s safe to say that it is unlikely to happen at this point.

McGregor is set to face Michael Chandler in his much-awaited return at UFC 302 on June 29.
