Conor McGregor is taking a shot at Paul Heyman but has gotten one back in return.

In the world of the UFC, there is no shortage of fighters calling each other out and wanting to pick fights both inside the cage and out. The same can be said for the WWE in a way. Now with the merger of the two sports organizations, there are fans that are expecting a crossover of athletes. Conor McGregor is the master at Twitter callouts but instead of picking on a wrestler, he has taken his aim at Paul Heyman.

It was actually Heyman that took the first shot at McGrgeor on social media. McGregor was expressing his congratulations to Endeavor for the purchase of the WWE and the addition of it to the UFC in one publically traded entity and somehow made it into Heyman’s crosshairs. He called McGregor a “Roman Reigns wannabe,” which did not sit well with McGregor.

Paul Heyman responds to the threats from Conor McGregor

McGregor went online and threatened to break Heyman’s jaw for talking about him. Heyman is the man behind Reigns in the WWE and was not too impressed by McGregor’s warnings. He spoke to Ariel Helwani for BT Sports about this.

“I’m not a grandfather, but I appreciate the fact that I’m old enough to be, number one, and that I’m still thriving on top,” he said. “I would like to see if Conor McGregor at 57 is still thriving at the very top of his entire industry, number one. We’ll see if he’s even relevant at 50. We’ll see if he even lives to 57 with his lifestyle now, number two.”

McGregor is set for his long-awaited UFC return later this year when he takes on Michael Chandler. The date for that has yet to be determined as some outside factors could be standing in the way. McGregor is by far the biggest UFC fighter in the world and has been interested in making his way to the WWE in the past. Now with this rivalry with Heyman, and the joining of the UFC and WWE through Endeavor, could this be the perfect time for a crossover?
