Conor McGregor says politics has kept UFC from booking his next fight

Conor Mcgregor Politics UFC

Stop us if you heard this before, but the UFC is feuding over money. This time Conor McGregor is the target.

Today at a presser in Ukraine to promote his latest sponsor, Mac had some choice words for the UFC.

“I used to fight every couple of weeks, really, before the UFC came, then it was every couple of months. Now the politics of the prize got involved, and it’s almost, I fight one and then I go off. I do not like that. You can’t be like that in this game. I must continue. Consistency is another word. You must be consistent. Once we get past the politics of this, I will continue to go. I’ve had very little damage inside the Octagon. So I’m eager to get going and continue. Like if I look at the run I had up to Eddie Alvarez, when I won the second world title, it was consecutive bouts … bout, bout bout. So I went into that Eddie Alvarez fight sharp and aware, fully prepared. And what happened that night was one of the greatest performances in any title fight ever in the UFC. So that’s what we’re looking to continue on the next time.”

McGregor continued

“They were saying we won’t make enough money on the Frankie fight. I was like, I don’t care. Don’t worry about me. Give my purse to charity. But for whatever reason it’s being made difficult. But like I said, we’re almost there. It’s never easy with this crowd.”

LOL forever at Conor McGregor just tossing Frankie Edgar under the bus for not being a draw. To be honest, it’s been a couple of months, the MMA world is due for Edgar getting another enormous fight he doesn’t deserve.

McGregor is the biggest star in MMA history. He wants to fight again. So why isn’t the UFC doing whatever it takes to get him back? Could they really be that cheap?

  1. “To be honest, it’s been a couple of months, the MMA world is due for Edgar getting another enormous fight he doesn’t deserve.” As opposed to giving McGregor fights he doesn’t deserve/never earned? How does one win a fight against Dennis Siver and immediately after fight in a championship bout? Give me a fucking break. Whoever posted this needs to remove Conors foreskin from between the gap in their teeth. Garbage.
