Colby Covington Calls Derrick Lewis A Fat Piece Of Trash Who Got Stretchered At ATT

Colby Covington, a Welterweight contender, might seriously think about moving Heavyweight. He insults Heavyweight competitors for a long period of time, and his statement about Derrick Lewis is nothing new. Colby Covington is pretty much hatred for his trash talk but looks like he simply doesn’t care.

After his confrontation with Fabricio Werdum, where Covington even said Werdum threatened to kill him, and their famous boomerang brawl in front of the hotel in Sydney, Colby has found another victim – Derrick Lewis. They already had a confrontation in MMAHour but looks like Covington isn’t pulling back: (quoted by MMAMania.com)

“Lewis is a fat piece of trash,” Covington told BJ Penn Radio (VIA SHERDOG). “Let’s be honest. He could barely even touch his toes. I’m overhearing he’s calling me preppy. Oh what, I’m preppy because I’m educated and I’m a handsome man with an eight pack?”

“Derrick Lewis is a complete joke,” he said. “Last time he came to American Top Team, he got left in a stretcher by Steve Mocco. The heavyweight division is the weakest division in the UFC. Come on, Tim Silvia was heavyweight champ and he had two left feet.”

Colby Covington hasn’t scheduled any fight yet, and he is looking for the opponent. Despite he wants to face the welterweight champion Tyron Woodley, the thrill isn’t mutual. There are a lot of possible opponents in Welterweight division, so someone will probably accept Colby’s challenge.

Derrick Lewis knocked Marcin Tybura out at UFC Fight Night 126 via tremendous hammer fists. Lewis is the first athlete to accept that “he is no Adonis”. No stretchers were needed for post-fight medical care to some degree, that’s for sure.

What do you think, should Colby Covington reconsider going Heavyweight and facing Fabricio Werdum and Derrick Lewis inside the octagon?
